Terkejut-kejut dengan email yang dikirim mbah Google, bukan apa-apa cuma kaget aja koq bisa-bisanya saya dapat email dari tim pengembang Google Apps, saya kirain kalo mau direkrut jadi pekerja [hehehe] Eh ternyata cuma mau ngasih pemberitahuan aja… Tim Google Apps yang bekerja untuk mbah Google ini cuma mau bilang kalo terhitung sejak tanggal 1 bulan Maret tahun 2010, Google Apps resmi menceraikan IE 6 (Internet Explore versi 6). Hmmm, lebih jelasnya berikut ini kutipan email dari Tim Google Apps.

Cara Mengaktifkan Feedburner Email Subscriptions

Feedburner adalah layanan feeds subscription dari Google yang berfungsi mengantarkan postingan terbaru blog kita ke pada para pengunjung blog yang menjadi subscriber (pengikut) blog tersebut. Salah satu keuntungan menjadi subscriber suatu blog adalah kita bisa mengikuti perkembangan update postingan terbaru setiap saat, jadi kita akan mendapatkan pemberitahuan begitu ada postingan terbaru pada blog tersebut. Feeds subscription ini sangat berguna dan membantu sekali agar kita bisa mengikuti terus perkembangan terkini blog favorit maupun blog milik sahabat-sahabat kita.

Lalu apa itu Feedburner Email Subscription? Kalo feeds subscription biasa, kita harus menggunakan aplikasi feeds reader untuk bisa membaca setiap perkembangan update terbaru dari blog yang kita ikuti (subscribed), aplikasi feeds reader ini ada beragam dan salah satunya yang saya pakai yaitu Google Reader [kenapa Google Reader? soalnya sekalian yang pakai akun Google jadi biar gak ribet-ribet begitoh :lol: ]. Sedang kalo Feedburner Email Subscription ini kita gak perlu pakai aplikasi feeds reader, soalnya setiap ada update terbaru dari blog yang kita ikuti secara otomatis akan dikirim ke alamat email kita.

Goo.gl google URL shortener Goo.gl? Wow.. apa itu gerangan??? Saat baca-baca sekilas update di Google Official Blog konsentrasi saya langsung tertuju pada sebuah postingan berjudul Making URLs shorter for Google Toolbar and FeedBurner Nah, setelah saya coba baca dan ini dia isi postingan tersebut [susah mau nerjemahin ke bahasa Jawa, jd saya copas aja... :mrgreen: ]

Google URL Shortener at goo.gl is a service that takes long URLs and squeezes them into fewer characters to make a link that is easier to share, tweet, or email to friends. The core goals of this service are:

Stability – ensuring that the service has very good uptime

Security – protecting users from malware and phishing pages

Speed – fast resolution of short URLs

Google URL Shortener is currently available for Google products and not for broader consumer use.
